The Ocean and the Wave — A story of consciousness

There’s something poetic and mesmerising about the way the ocean moves. Picture it as a whole – infinite. Still. A oneness of itself.

Then, a movement begins — a stirring in the stillness. From a vast body of water, a small wave forms. It fragments, separates and rises, taking form - dancing in motion with light, air and wind.

And then it crashes, flows, collides and evaporates into foam.

For a moment, it forgets it is the ocean. It believes itself to be separate — a single drop in a vast expanse. But the wave always finds its way home.

Every crash, every particle, every wild, foaming edge is eventually drawn back into the sea. And when it returns, it carries with it all that it’s seen — the memories, the experiences, the imprints, the fragments of light and shadow.

The ocean receives it all - integrating every fragment into wholeness and becoming richer, deeper and wiser as a result.

When you observe the ocean, you start to see the waves, the droplets, the foam — the infinite particles that make up the whole. Each one is unique, and yet… it all belongs to the ocean.

In physics, this dance mirrors the theory of the Double Slit Experiment, where light behaves as both a wave and a particle. When no one watches, it flows freely — pure potential. But when it’s observed, it collapses into form. Observation = Awareness = Consciousness. Awareness chooses reality.

The same applies to us. We begin as pure energy — one with everything — and through life’s journey, we ‘collapse’ into moments, situations, stories of play and struggle. We forget. And then, through awakening, love and self-awareness, we start to remember the truth of who we are.

Its entropy reversed. It's evidence that consciousness (love, awareness, compassion) moves in the opposite direction — gathering chaos, integrating it and reuniting fragments into order. It’s like a universal inhale and exhale. Creation and remembrance. The feminine flow and the return to Source. You could say: Love is the force that reverses entropy.

This process takes us into the liminal space {link to blog post} — the mysterious in-between place between endings and beginnings.

In individual terms, its the invisible void between who you were, and who you’re becoming. It’s uncomfortable, uncertain, and yet — it’s full of potential.

It’s where the feminine power of creation waits — still, dark, fertile with possibility.

When we sit in that space without running from it, we tune back into the rhythm of the ocean. We stop trying to control the waves, and instead, we remember: I am the tide.

Each woman walking this path — the path of chaos, surrender and rebirth — is a wave returning to her ocean. She unravels the stories that told her she was separate. She integrates her light and shadow. She remembers her own source — love, consciousness, divinity.

That is the work of The Company of Her. The remembering. The return. The love that reverses entropy. The ocean calling her home.

Next time you stand by the sea, watch the waves crash and dissolve. See yourself in them - the parts of you that have spread out, foamed, forgotten — all finding their way home.

Each of us is both the wave and the ocean. Both the chaos and the calm. Both the question and the answer.

And no matter how far you travel, you are never separate from the ocean that made you.

This is the journey of expansion, enrichment and sovereignty. This is the story of consciousness.
That is the work of The Company of Her. The return. The remembering. The love.
If you feel called to work with me, I'd love to hold space for you on your journey of remembering and shining your light.
Are you ready to discover the answers within you? The Company of Her exists to support women like you and me. If you feel called, I’d love to hold space for you.

With love, and goddess light
